Hi there,
I have a setup that uses an Apple TV 4K (2nd generation) which is connected to a Bose soundbar and an 85" 4K TV.
I use Handbrake on my Mac, and I normally use the "Apple 1080p60 Surround" preset and RF of around 17 - 18 for 1080p files.
What I'd like to know is opinions on the optimal settings in Handbrake to create files from full REMUX .mkv files to files that aren't quite so big, but still maintain a high level of picture and sound quality.
I know messing around with the RF settings changes the picture quality, but I'm not sure with to use x264 or x265 etc.
I'm not adverse to still having reasonable file sizes as long as the quality is there given the big TV size. I hate things like patchy blacks etc.

The preset you're using would be a very reasonable. Not sure what you've been encoding from previously if not disk rips.
