1.7.0 - Select whole directory

Post by CodySydney »

Description of problem or question:
In 1.6.1 I could select a directory and Handbrake would scan it for files in a batch. I can't do it in 1.7.0, as when I click 'Open' on the directory nothing happens - as in literally it doesn't respond to the click. There's no relevant log info that I can see as there's just no response from the UI. I'd troubleshoot much further but this worked perfectly in 1.6.1.

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
Put some videos in a folder, try to select the folder via Open Source. Do not select Single File (of course)

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.7.0 (x86_64)

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Kubuntu 23.10

I think there is a separate "Open directory" menu now.

Thanks - didn't expect the function to move, when the button that's been there for so long is still there, and the alternative has now moved into a menu. Very Microsoft-esque! But there's a silver lining, I never knew I could just drag-n-drop a directory onto Handbrake and it would add it that way. Which I like even more!
