I have a lot of 1080p videos that have aspect ration 21:9 or 1:2,4. What are the settings in Handbrake so that I can zoom-in to use whole 16:9 display, e.g.
source: 1080p video in 1920x800 pixel.
zoom-in whole video by factor 1,3x (-> video size is 2592 x 1080 pixel)
crop left and right (336 pixel each side), so that video has finally size of 1920 x 1080
Is this possible in one step? Or two?
I use HandBrake version 1.6.1
and Windows 11 Pro 22H2
Thanx for any help!

Why would you cut off a quarter of the visible movie? Besides many software players offer the possibility to stretch the video to your screen resolution.
That's like what Disney did with The Simpsons on Disney+ in the beginning. Suddenly parts of the image were missing and quite some jokes didn't work anymore because things weren't visible.

You can do the cropping, but there's little point in doing the up-res, just let the player do that.

Hi all,
yes... I wat to crop the film... and no my player doesn't help me with the zoom.
Therefore... see it as technical exercise... how exactly would you do this in Handbrake?
a) Load the 21:9 video into handbrake
b) ...
c) ...
Thanx a lot for the help in advance!
