Intel Quick Sync disabled in 1.6.1

Bug: Intel Quick Sync option is shown disabled under the "Video" settings tab in 1.6.1 (2023012300) unlike 1.5.1 (2022011000)

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5257U CPU @ 2.70GHz
OS: Win10 Pro 21H2

Question: Is there any reason in noticing this bug since Intel Quick Sync produces larger files compared to H264 (7Mb vs 5Mb) and I prefer smaller file size over encoding speed?

Your CPU is no longer supported. You'll need to use 1.5.1 or earlier with that CPU if you want to use QuickSync

If you prefer smaller file sizes, use the software encoders instead.

I found that H264 RF 20 Slower provides best quality with smallest possible file size. Can you confirm this? Thanks.

Depends on a lot of things, but if you’re happy stick with it.

That's a reasonable combination of settings for what you descibe.

After update Hnadbrake to 1.6.0 and later to 1.6.1 QuickSync stop working. I am using both Intel an NVIDIA GPUs for transcoding. I had to downgrade to 1.5.1 to both GPUs start working. I have latest drivers on both.

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10850K CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 Mhz, 10 Core(s), 20 Logical Processor(s)
Name Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630
Driver Version 31.0.101.2121

Name NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
Driver Version 31.0.15.3141

OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621

Q: Is there a way to make both GPUs work again and speed up the transcoding? Or is there a rational reason why QuickSync doesn't work after the latest updates?
