Description of problem or question:
Hello, I had a problem using my standard custom DVD 4:3 present. in version 1.5.1 it worked fine, but in v 1.6.0 it doesn't work, so I made a new one. I saw that the AC3 passthrough option for my two desired DVD languages isn't accepted, the programm still wants a bitrate! So i have go back to 1.5.1. Can someone confirm that problem?
HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.6.0
Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Windows 11 Pro 22H2
Custom Present Creation doesn't work properly

Re: Custom Present Creation doesn't work properly
Are you reading directly from the copy-protected DVD, or through something that is removing the copy protection first? A lot of people add a third-party utility to read from DVDs, then are surprised when the new install does not recognize their forgotten 3-party code.
Re: Custom Present Creation doesn't work properly
How is that related to AC3 Passthrough and/or custom presets though? I'm quite confused. Not to mention, going back to 1.5.1 would not automagically reinstall libdvdcss…Woodstock wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 1:54 pm Are you reading directly from the copy-protected DVD, or through something that is removing the copy protection first? jvs, are you sure your source has an AC3 source to begin with? We really need to see a scan log and perhaps a screenshot of the audio panel in HandBrake before we can make further suggestions.
Re: Custom Present Creation doesn't work properly
Just a note that the behaviours window will show the bitrate and other controls beside the passthru option and these get applied to the fallback encoder should it be needed.
Re: Custom Present Creation doesn't work properly
I used AnyDVD Trial and made a copy to hdd (not as image, as vob files)... using batch scan in Handbrake. This works for all seasons of the series with version 1.5.1...
I used Handbrake 1.5.1 with the custom present and it works fine. Encoding settings like German/English AC3 Passthrough Audio, German/English subs are applicabled when I click my custom present in v. 1.5...
This is how the settings look like in 1.5.1.

Applied it looks like this in 1.5.1.

So the same I did in 1.6.0

Applied it looks like this in 1.6.0

It doesn't apply the settings from the correct present
Do you understand me now?

Maybe it's this? viewtopic.php?p=202256#p202256
Although it's using the AC3 encoder here and not AAC…

Re: Custom Present Creation doesn't work properly
Seems so. Thank you anyways. I'll wait for 1.6.1.
