Should I Uninstall the Previous Version of an Old Build to Upgrade?
In the event of an introduction of a later version of Handbrake, and that I have built a previous version, should I uninstall the older version and then install the newer version?

I'm using the Flatpak version on Linux Mint and in it's Update manager it lets you update installed Flatpak programs to the current release. I'm not sure about an update that you could do that would just overwrite the old or if it had to be uninstalled first before an upgrade. Flatpak is the nice and easy way for me on many programs.

Something to add about Flatpaks, when you see the size of a program that is huge with Flatpak, it's showing you the complete file for all systems that use Flatpak, your size won't be as big as you think it will be. Installing other Flatpak programs draws from that shared library, and also is not the huge size you see.
