Description of problem or question:
I'm trying to encode a collection of 9 DVDs so I can watch them from my TV, which doesn't have a DVD player attached. 5 DVDs converted successfully to MP4, and play on Windows Media Player and on my TV. The remaining 4 DVDs are seemingly processed successfully by Handbrake, but produce a "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file" error when trying to play them. I have tried both MKV and MP4 containers, H.264, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 codecs, and various speed/quality settings.
Windows file properties shows video and audio codec information on the successful files but doesn't show anything for the broken files, which I interpret to mean that the container is broken, rather than its contents.
I'm limited to the subset of containers and codecs that will work on a Samsung smart TV (https://www.samsung.com/my/support/tv-a ... -supported).
Steps to reproduce the problem:
I'm guessing error reproduction would require the Audio_TS and Video_TS that is causing the problem. Let me know if anyone wants me to share.
One of the DVDs that doesn't work is "Down on the Farm" (https://tractorted.com/products/down-on ... 1853130901).

What are you using to decrypt the DVDs?
Try ripping with makemkv first.
