Should I use Deinterlace and Decomb?

For interlaced HD ProRes footage is it advisable to use Deinterlace and Decomb?

Yes, use decomb. If you have issues with it missing some combing you can try tuning the various parameters, or go to full deinterlacing.

and chage the comb type to BOB if its 60i footage or turn on detelecine if its a film at 24fps for best results and not drop any frames
