Description of problem or question:
Hello
I have a television m2ts recording with a AAC LC 2.0 ch. 124 kbps audio track. I want to encode it in mkv using the fast 1080p preset. What is the best setting I can use to improve the audio track quality ? I've tried to choose FLAC 24 bits, but I suspect it's useless since the m2ts audio track quality is too low. Am I correct ?
HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.4.2
Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Mac OS Big Sur

Re: Improve audio stream from a video
The best thing you can do is to avoid reencoding it again.

And what should I do if I want a mkv file from the m2ts file ? I need to cut the beginning and the end with mkvtoolnix. Sorry, I'm a beginner with all theses things
