Extract all tracks from a DVD?

Post by nawi »

Hello!

How can I extract all titles from a DVD in a way, that the titles contain all audio tracks (if possible to select the default audio track to play) and all subtitles (no selected, no burnt in). The target device is a Apple TV which supports 4K so, the quality should be as good as possible.

I know, that mplayer provides this kind of extraction but I can‘t add this titles to iTunes to stream them without recoding the files (extract from DVD is prefered).

I looked at the documentation but found not what I look for. I would use the latest version of HandBrakeCLI.

Thanks for answers.

Ripping software like MakeMKV and similar, have this feature. They normally do NO recoding, so there is no change in quality.

Handbrake isn't a ripper. And it will ALWAYS recode the video.

Thanks for the answer.
Yes, I know it recodes and it should do, just want to get out the best possible quality for the planned devices.
