Problems scanning my disc

Description of problem or question:The last 2 discs I tried to put onto my computer, the source file comes up, then it scans and gets hung up on file 6 of 6 (50%)

Why is that?

Handbrake is not intended for ripping copy-protected media.

What happens if you use ripping software, such as MakeMKV or AnyDVD, to produce an unencrypted video file?

That's funny- I am not ripping the store bought DVD it is a personal DVD of my own. I wasn't aware there was any inscription on it!

Maybe I need to take the inscription out? Maybe I should try a different program like you recommended.

I don't think you have encryption.
You have an error. See if Woodstock's suggestion helps:

Woodstock's other suggestion try try MakeMKV is also a good one!

Thank you musicvid! Your suggestion worked! I ticked the disable in the preferences and now I can get my DVD files.
