Anamorphic problem

Post by court.lykins »

Hello!

I'm ripping Casino Royale and ripped a few chapters with different settings but im conufsed by the Anamorphic. The resolution is not different whether you select it or not, is it supposed to be this way? The exact same thing happens with "The Kid".

Thanks in advance.

I encoded that movie with the anamorphic option, which yields 853 x 354 pixels when played back. What are you getting?

You could play it back in Quicktime Player, and choose Movie Info from the Window menu. "Normal size" is the native playback resolution of the file.

You could play it back in VLC, and choose Information from the Window menu, and then click the Advanced Information tab and then the Stream 0 triangle and you'll see the resolution.

its the same resolution whether anamorphic is encoded or not.

Can't help you there except to suggest you try again and take notes of the exact settings you use.
