Fixed in 2.23

- Fixed: Possible fix for extra space in destination box (VISTA)
- Fixed: Possible fix for black splash screen (VISTA)
- Fixed: Random lockups caused by hbcli not appearing to be closed.

These are untested. Please let me know if any of these are actually fixed.

Downloads is on the download page.

Fixed in 2.21 and 2.22 Beta

• Change: Removed Minimise, Maximise and close options from the Queue Window.
• Change: When scanning a DVD, If a read error occurs, the GUI will attempt to continue reading the disc.
• Fixed: Queue Windows forgets queued items when closed.
• Fixed: Clicking Cancel on the Save File Dialog box caused an Unhandled Exception.
• Fixed: Auto Cropping Unhandled Exception if no title was selected.
• Fixed: View DVD Data now shows all the information from Handbrakes output.

Gutted.

There honestly is no real reason for that to happen. I'll see if I can find a way of forcing it.

Check for update version

Post by stephen »

I am also on Vista. The trailing space is gone, the splash screen is still black (even at 16bit color mode).
I also noticed that the version reported in the check for updates dialog is 2.22 but in the about dialog it is 2.23.

Yeh I noticed that. Fixed it. Uploaded a replacement 2.23 with that issue sorted.

I was just thinking that perhaps the black screen problem is the same problem itunes is having. Maybe you could ask them to share any thing they know about it.

Yeah I did think that Apple probably wouldn't help people but it might be related.
On Vista when loading iTunes the whole iTunes window is black until you either minimise it and click on it from the taskbar or just maximise it.

No doubt a related issue. Most likely a bug in vista itself.

see my post about that - sr55 consider that a confirmed specific vista bug as far as i am concerned. Working fine in xp. I haven't posted much so it should be easy to find my post on the issue.

2.23 refuses to install on XP

Post by pasiparkkila »

I have 2.21 and have downloaded the 2.23 installer. When executed, it complains about not being able to install at anything less than 800x600. I am running 1280x800 and tried 800x600 with the same result. 2.21 installed and is running fine. Any ideas?
