AppleTV 2.3.1

Post by belloq »

Let's hope the 2.3.1 update doesn't contain too many undocumented changes which may affect our encoded vids. I won't be updating mine until ... much later.

I've had no problems since updating to 2.3.1.

It's changed nothing big afaik.
Not even how it handles audio tracks & multiple alternate groups and such.

But, it did happen to change the way the menu for buying movies displays on my screen.
It cuts off the "T" in "Top Movies" and the other words as well.
Found that odd, but it's not a big deal; as I'm never on that screen. ;)

As I've said elsewhere, it * does* re-enable ac3 in m4v only, which 2.3 had previously borked. Whether that lasts or not is anyones guess. YMMV.

So they did change that code.
Sorry, I missed that.
Guess it's time to redo all of my alternate group tests.
But I did redo a few of them and alternate seemed to be handled the same,
but I didn't run the more complex tests. So I wonder...
