some copy to ipod, some dont...
ive been using handbrake for a while now ripping alot of my movies so i can have them on an ipod, plug it into my tv and watch them on the tv. I RIP all the movies at 720xWhatever, Mpeg4, H.264, i import them all into itunes, but when i try to copy them to the ipod some copy and some dont, i get an error saying "these files were not copied to the ipod because they are not the right type of file etc....". What i dont understand is tat all my ripped dvds have been Mpeg4 files, some copied ti the ipod and worked and some didnt? can anyone give me any idea as to why it does this?
thanks
james.

Weird, I just tried it with both mpeg4 and h.264. No go on anything with a width over 640. Even though they would comply with the old total pixel limit for mpeg 4. They were each 720 x 304. Would not transfer.
crown, I have no idea how you are doing it. But, if it is working for you, I wouldnt mess with it!

Rodney,
Just thought you would like to know, I tried both h.264 and mpeg, mpeg worked at 704x384 and h.264 did not work.
I under stand what your saying so I don't know what to think. But as the saying go's "if it ant broke don't fix it".
I'm going to keep testing though.
thanks, crown
ps: I have also encoded 8 Below at 720x304 and Quicktime says its 720x304 and it copies just fine through itunes.
