Question about video height - 576 DVD results in 552

Description of problem or question:
Hi all first time poster so be gentle,

I had a query about my PAL Firehouse Dog (2007) DVD i recently encoded if you dont mind.
First i used MakeMKV first to get an untouched mkv. I used Mediainfo to check the video height - it was 720*576. This informed me to use the stock Handbrake H.265 MKV 576p25 profile. I went ahead and encoded using the default settings of the profile.

However when i ran the file back through Mediainfo i discovered that the dimensions were now 720*552

I took a look at the dimensions tab - resolution and scalinng and saw Anamorphic set to automatic, optimal size was checked and upscaling was unchecked. When i checked upscaling the pixel aspects changed but more importantly the height went from 552 back to 576.

My questions are:
1) Should i be using the upscaling button?
2) Will there be any issues down the line keeping my 720*552 video? e.g. players/software

FYI:
Ive since gone back and dropped all of my DVD encodes into Mediainfo and i can see many of them are not perfectly 480 or 576 in height
Also I noticed filebot, through their own calculations deems the video height (vf) for Firehouse Dog to be 480 so maybe some player software will think its an NTSC DVD down the line when its actually a PAL. I just dont want to do my encodes "wrong" before i get too far down the rabbit hole.

I wouldn't upscale unless you have a specific playback environment that requires some different resolution. They're not very common for contemporary playback environments, but people have all sorts of legacy crapgadgets so you never know.

Enjoy that the useless black bars on the top and bottom of the image have been removed.
