I've recent tried ripping some episodes of a TV programmes, one from this year and another from the late 1990's. I've used the preset of Apple 540p30 Surround on my iMac. I then add the ripped files to my Windows 11 PC to watch them via Apple TV using Home Sharing.
The more recent DVD is absolutely fine. The older one has extremely quiet sound - I have to turn the sound up to almost double what the newer show is.
Is there are setting or different preset that will increase the volume of the sound? When I play the files on my iMac or PC they sound OK.
