Description of problem or question:
I found recent iOS are able to play eAC3 tracks directly. without a 2 channel AAC layer
So I want to not include the 2 channel AAC channel anymore by just using eAC3 tracks.
but I found AppleTV 4K is not able to play self encoded eAC3 tracks, simple no sound.
only iPhone and iPad can.
is anymore encoded eAC3 for apple tv?
Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
Encode eac3 track and let apple tv 4k to play
HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.6.1
Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
MacOS 14.4

Re: How to encode for Apple TV and iOS device
Best practice for the Apple ecosystem is to include the 2ch AAC audio as the first audio track.
Re: How to encode for Apple TV and iOS device
that's right.
but the question is Apple TV 4k should be able to play 5.1 or more channel eAC3, it can even play dolby atoms. but how can we encode it to let it play?

Re: How to encode for Apple TV and iOS device
Use Apple presets:
https://handbrake.fr/docs/en/1.7.0/tech ... esets.html
If you want EAC3 try replacing the AC3 track.
