Over the years I have collected a huge collection of Movie Bluerays and regular DVDs and als quite a lot of Audio CD.
I now would like to use my 16" M2 MacBook Pro to make a digital backup copy of all movies and audio CDs.
Can you suggest a decent external Blueray player that works well wir USB-C on a modern Ventura MacBook Pro?
What do I need to know when purchasing one, so that it works well with my MacBook and Handbrake?

Re: USB-C Blueray Player for macBook suggestion
Maybe try he MakeMKV forum, they'll probably have more and better suggestions than here.
I have an old ASUS USB-A Blu-ray drive which isn't particularly good but works (I have an Intel Mac and Monterey for now).
