Looking for non-FlatPak CLI static builds or PPA for latest version
I am looking for a maintained source for CLI builds for use in docker, i.e. no GUI and no desktop.
FlatPak does not work for non-Desktop environments.
The PPA published by Rob Savory has been discontinued due to lack of funding.
It would be fantastic if HB could officially publish PPA based packages for at least the CLI.
Alternatively, any leads on a static build publisher?

Re: Non-FlatPak CLI static or PPA build linux downloads
You could always build it yourself? Sorry, I don't know of anyone making static builds on HB for Linux.
Re: Non-FlatPak CLI static or PPA build linux downloads
Ok, thx, I'll look at building from source as part of my docker build.
It would be great if HB team would consider publishing the CLI in a non-flatpak form, be that static binary or PPA form.

Why can't you use the flatpak CLI?
Re: Non-FlatPak CLI static or PPA build linux downloads
I need the CLI in docker, no desktop, no flatpak.

Re: Non-FlatPak CLI static or PPA build linux downloads
However, the build features of Flatpak run fine outside a session, so you can build things on a server.

That statement means that you can *build* flatpack packages on a server.
It does not mean you can *use* flatpak packages on a server.
I do not want to build, I want to use.
