Description of problem or question:
Selecting audio track for rip from VIDEO TS
Incorrect track was rendered
Chose English got Italian
Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
selected English
HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.6.0
Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Mac 10.14.6

Maybe the language is not set properly on the dvd-video, what happens if you select the Italian one?

I was able to get this to rip properly using MPEG Streamclip. So I don't think it is the source.

Streamclip would open the MPEG Program Stream (VOB) directly, without the language information which is in the IFO files, so that doesn't rule out that the tracks could be misflagged in the source…

Hmmm. I chose the English track and that is what exported. I will try the suggestion, nevertheless.

Where did you get a version of MPEG Streamclip that even runs on modern computers, do you still have a machine that runs an OS older that Catalina?

Running Mojave on an older iMac, for this reason. Work related. this and a few others.

Ran test as suggested and it worked! Never would have occurred to me that the files were improperly encoded...thanks all.
