How to run without dvd reader

Post by FritjofNilsson »

Description of problem or question:
I have a slow computer with a DVD reader built in, and a fast computer (many cores) without a DVD reader.
Would it be possible to rip the DVD content on the slow machine, copy the data to the fast one and do the processing there?
Can the process be automated?

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.5.1

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

Absolutely, rip your DVD with makemkv or other ripper. Copy the data wherever and encode with handbrake.
