Hi,
I have some mp4 files that are 60fps. I wanted to reduce it down to 25fps, but when I play it back, it jumps every now and then, like it's missing a few frames every now and then.
So I tried converting down to 30fps, which seemed much better.
Could someone explain why there would be such a difference?
Thanks
60fps to 25fps
Re: 60fps to 25fps
Divide 60 by 25.
Divide 60 by 30.
Divide 60 by 30.

Re: 60fps to 25fps
In order to convert 60 fps to 25 fps, every other input frame must be dropped for about 4 output frames, then on the 5th output frame an extra input frame needs to be dropped to compensate for the fractional quotient.
