Can't start Handbrake because previous folder is gone

Post by kawakawa »

Description of problem or question:
When I start Handbrake it starts looking for the last folder it was active, in my case the Windows 10 server folder. I used Parallels. But I don't use that server anymore, Handbrake can't find the folder, alerts me and quits the application.

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
Quite straightforward.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
Latest

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
MacOS Monterey

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

Code: Select all

HandBrake Activity Log for Session: 2022-06-22T12:19:25Z
Handbrake Version: 1.3.3 (2020061300)
Can somebody help me with this?

Either update to the latest HandBrake version (1.5.1), or if your OS version can't support it, delete /Users/yourusername/Library/Containers/fr.handbrake.HandBrake/Data/Library/Application Support/HandBrake/Queue.hbqueue

or maybe the preferences if that does not work, in Terminal write:

defaults delete fr.handbrake.HandBrake

and press enter.
