Handbrake not working on DV encoded

Post by BrianKitt »

Description of problem or question:
If I try to compress a video, that was encoded with DV, the resulting output is a very 'red' video.
I was unaware that handbrake could not process a DV encoding, and have inadvertently recorded a number of videos with a heavy red shift.

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
Grab a DV encoded video. I can provide one if needed, but they are easy to find.
Compress it
It will have a heavy red shift.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.5.1

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Win 10

Does anyone know of a good way to scan videos, using ffprobe, or similar, to identify videos that are compressed 'red'. Here is an ffprobe of the above video.
ffprobe of input: https://pastebin.com/embed_js/GMWFXCeK
ffprobe of output: https://pastebin.com/embed_js/RA1wuexL

I would really like to be able to write a script to scan my video library and see if this has happened to any others.
