Minimum System Requirements

Description of problem or question:

I couldn't find the minimum system requirements for the CLI version. I see that Windows 10 x64 is required for the latest GUI version, but does the same apply to the CLI version? Just in testing, I was able to convert the sample Wildlife.wmv to an MP4 using HandBrakeCLI.exe version 1.5.1 on a Windows 7 SP1 x64 machine.


HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

CLI 1.5.1


Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Windows 7 SP1 x64

While in theory the CLI should still run fine on Windows 7, we don't formally support it anymore. So it's up to you if you want to run in an unsupported way or not.

I understand that Windows 7 may not be formally supported. What about x86? The download site says x64 but then x86 is listed in the filename:

Wow, I've been misreading it and thought it said "x86_x64" this whole time. Funny what your eyes see when you're expecting to see something.
