After updating, selecting a preset causes an exception

Post by Sketchy »

Description of problem or question:
So I updated HB for the first time in a long time and after updating, I now get an exception thrown at me whenever I select any preset, regardless if it's a custom preset or a default preset. I reinstalled a few times and also tried rolling back but I now get exceptions regardless of the version...

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
Select any preset...

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.5.1

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Windows 10, 10.0.19401

There is a workaround in the Development snapshots: https://github.com/handbrake/handbrake-snapshots

It's basically caused by an invalid PAR value in either the source or preset. Usually 0 which is not valid.

Typically best to rebuild user presets after updating as we don't guarantee they can be updated.

Both solutions worked. Thank you for the response! :)
