What is "Low Power QuickSync Hardware"?

Post by Mant1kor »

Hi!
I'm one of HandBrake translators, and I can't figure out what is "Low Power QuickSync Hardware"? It's QuickSync on low TDP CPU, or low performance QuickSync hardware or what?

It's a special feature of the encoder, where it encodes using less power than a "normal" encode. It's only available on some hardware/platform combinations, not sure which yet.

By "power" you mean electric power, or encoding power?
