Description of problem or question:
This seems to be a form of protection. Disc cannot be read by any application on my Ubuntu box.
Relevant files:
VTS_04_0.BUP 3.9GiB
VTS_04_0.IFO 62.0KiB
VTS_04_0.VOB 114.0KiB
Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
Discs says no title found
HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.3.1
Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Ripping directly from a protected optical disk requires an unsupported 3rd-party library (problem 1). Even if you have that library installed, there is no guarantee that it will work for all disks; that is one of the reasons it stopped being supported almost 12 years ago.
Use of actually ripping tools, like MakeMKV, is recommended.
Problem 2 would show up later, if you're using using the version of handbrake found in the ubuntu repository... It's been broken-by-design for a long time.
