Saving in the wrong format

Post by miafiore »

Description of problem or question:

I have been putting a 2GB Video into handbrake to compress, when the compression finishes it saves as a document not an MP4. I am doing everything you're supposed to do, so confused why this is happening. Help would be most appreciated!! :)

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

Code: Select all

Please replace this text with the contents of your log file between the two code tags - OR - provide a pastebin URL in place of these 3 lines.
If you are unable to do so, please state why so we can help you.

If you had included the required activity log, we would be able tell you what you used as the output file name, and why having the incorrect extension (or no extension) would be problematic. But, you didn't, so we can only guess at what you did.
