missing log files for individual encodes

Post by cissyalice »

Description of problem or question:
So I've had this problem for about as long as I've used handbrake, so a few years. And it hasn't been solved with updating or uninstalling and reinstalling, or even installing on a clean install of windows. When I go into the activity logs folder and look at the logs for a file I've converted, there will be some of the log files for that encode but not all of them. Let's say I convert five parts of a movie when i go to find the log files for these encodes, there will only exist 1-4 but never all of them. This happens every time I convert something and it's really annoying because if I want to redo a conversion with different settings but want to keep the exact same start and end time as I used the first time, there won't always be a log file that I can check to see what those times were. if anyone knows of a way to fix this i would really appreciate it.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

1.3.1 (but happens on the earlier versions i used as well)

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Windows 10 Home

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)
I wasn't sure which log files to post since when this problem occurs it doesn't create a log file so i just chose some at random. If there are specific log files I should post please let me know and i'll do that.
