Post by NTD »

I have a video file I recorded with my sony camcorder that I would like to convert over to the same file without audio. I do not want to convert, adjust, encode the video whatsoever. Is this possible?

Re: Deleting Audio Only

Post by Woodstock »

Not with handbrake - it's a video encoder, so it's going to encode the video. You can remove the audio easily enough, by not selecting any, but the video WILL be re-encoded.

There are other utilities that can strip the audio tracks without encoding the video, however. ffmeg's command line can do that, and they even have examples on their "how to" page.
