Constant Network Activity to Amazon

Post by brianm »

Whilst ripping a blu ray disc on my Linux box HandBrake is constantly contacting Amazon.
To stop this I pulled my network cable from my router. The fps rate instantly doubled.

Could anyone please tell me why HandBrake needs to be in constant touch wth Amazon, it seems a little strange.

HandBrake makes no connections to Amazon. We have no infrastructure there.

Are you sure it's the HandBrake process and not something else making the connections?
Where did you get this build of HandBrake from?
