Batch Processing Help Needed

Post by here2brake »

Description of problem or question:

I am trying to convert several hundred older .mov files to mp4. No problem with handbrake. The issue is that these hundreds of older .mov files are in several hundred folders. I am trying to do a batch process on all of the .mov's while having the converted .mp4 files remain in the original file from which the .mov's reside. This keeps a converted video in the original folder without having to hunt and peck my way through hundreds of videos to place them in their corresponding folders. I hope this is clear. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

1.2

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

osx 10.14.5

A short shell script to process all of them across the folders would be my recommendation.
