merge VOB

Post by TRACKER »

hi , Im trying to merge VOB and reencode using handbrake, I import the video_ts folder into handbrake and I see all tiles
in the drop down 'title' (3 titles), the only problem is that when I encode it only picks up one chapter (the last one, forgets the first two ) , converts it and writes it to the output file, of course I want all chapters (3) merged into one on the ouptput, any ideas? Thanks alot again

Post your encode logs.
They will tell us whether you have three CHAPTERS or three TITLES.
Those are completely different things, with completely different encoding considerations, but no one could know which is which without you providing the correct information.

ok, I dont know if it's here that I must post a support request but here it is: Indeed I have 3 titles because the dvd I'm ripping has 3 parts, inside these 3 parts (music show) there is markers that cues the beginning of songs, I think these are identified as chapters in hand brake, so to summarize i do have 3 titles in the drop down menu each of thesentitles containing a number of markers (chapters). All I want is to have everything (all the show, 3 parts and there contents) in output. In my original post I said that only the last title (of 3) was copied to output file. Hope its clear?! Here's the log
thank you

Handbrake encodes one title with chapters per file at a time.
A convenient way to wrap multiple titles in one large file is called MakeMKV.

MakeMKV would only merge files if there is a play list that has them merged, otherwise it will treat them as separate files.

I would not be surprised to see a "VOB merge" function buried in the Excel user interface... Oh, wait - You said Excel, not emacs!

That's a bit rude, to say the least. We get it, neither of you like each other… all the more reason to try and be civil, please.
