Can’t add a .srt file to a video in V 1.1.2

Description of problem or question:
There are no drop down menus to allow the addition of a .srt file to be used to burn in subtitles to a video.

The version number in your log looks like you're trying to use the handbrake version packaged by Ubuntu. Subtitles are ONE of the many features known to be broken in that package.

Try the Ubuntu package available from the official handbrake download site. https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php
