Error: Failed to load GUI presets file

Description of problem or question:
When using --preset-import-gui and --preset "Very Fast 1080p30" in a batch script to run HandbrakeCLI.exe the logs show that HandbrakeCLI was unable to find GUI presets file.



Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
This is reproducible as I have 7 different runs showing the exact same error. The batch file is being called by a program running under the User Name: SYSTEM.

Serious question, have you installed the HandBrake 1.1.1 GUI or only the CLI?

Seems like this should probably cause a hard fail instead if continuing along with only the message in the log...

Yep. Both are installed. Upon further testing, it appears if HandbrakeCLI is run using a local user account the GUI Preset file is found. The first log is when (testing) from a local users johni(see Indentity - HP-DESKTOP\johni. The second log file is production when running from a local system.

System user won't have a presets file, so it is correct that it can't find it. That said, you don't need to do this for built-in presets.

I'm not sure what your question is?

--preset "Very Fast 1080p30" will work without importing gui presets. Since thats what your using + some overrides, I don't understand what you thin the issue is?

Then you need to create the preset in the GUI while logged in as the same user that you're going to use to run the CLI.

Custom presets are saved in the user space of the user that created them, and are only available to that user.

Unless you go and copy them around and set the proper permissions....
