DNxHD to H265

Post by Vasco »

I was left with the impression that Handbrake does a good job transcoding DNxHD to H265 but when I installed Handbrake it doesn't accept DNx footage. Where did I go wrong?

Thank you.

The nightly works. I think. It's been converting a DNx to MKV for 20 hours now, 8 hrs to go. BUT it didn't recognize the chapters. How do I get the chapters in? I made them in Premiere Pro (chapter markers) and Encore sees them but Handbrake doesn't.
Thank you.

I will, as soon as it's done converting. 3 hours left. Or can I do it while it's still working?

Couple points:
1, chapter markers don't appear to be in a format HandBrake supports.
2, that encode failed due to being out of disk space or exceeding a quota.

Thank you. I know why it failed but that was a test so no problem. Can you advise what to do about the chapters?
