In the change logs of Libav12 beta1 released 2016 October 02, line 28 reads :

When HB will handle the Auto-Rotate function, Phone owners should get crisper pictures by placing the taking lens at the bottom right, not at the top left corner of the device ; the vertical click on the [+] trigger button generates less harm than the pressure on the screen virtual button which induces a more blurring angular movement.
