sometimes less is more

Post by hokuto no dav »

Please describe what you would like to see added to HandBrake:
Hi, I am really your fan. I find this to be the best converter out there. I used it a lot since i dicovered 4 years ago..

Why would you like to see this added:
I would advice to you that the best feature you can add is... remove the autocrop. It's annoyng. It destroy animation made with illustrator vector. It is on by default and sometimes when I'm on strict deadlines I don't remember. Because many times the video I import is full of information I didn't notice, it doesn't cut your footage. But that day you're on a rush to export your illustrator animation it completely destroy it. And you have to do the work two times.
Maybe you can just leave turned it off by default. Would be clever.

What version of HandBrake are you currently running:

I always run the last version..
What operating system and version and you currently running (e.g. OSX 10.11, Windows 7, Ubuntu 14):

Sometimes I run in win10 sometimes OSX..

Anyway thanks a lot for the great compressions!

Thank you

You can already save your own presets with crop set to 0, and even make it the default one.

Save a preset with 0 cropping... defaulting autocrop off would cause a lot more people to waste bits on worthless black borders.
