Default Subtitles behavior

Post by matthewoliver »

Hi,

I think it would be a nice idea to have a default setting where nothing is selected when you choose to add subtitles. As compared to how it is now, where "burned in" is selected by default.

Gee, you mean like if you were to go into the subtitles menu, and change the defaults, and save it as part of a new, custom preset?

No, I think the default behaviour should have nothing selected.

Is that even possible with your choice of subs and container?

We'd need the encode log to see...

Defaults for selection or deselection is part of the preset system. If you want a preset that doesn't select any subtitles, you can have one.

And if you want selected subtitles to not be burned in, you need to select output containers that support that, too.

As mentioned, we cannot tell whether or not your wish is possible without the information that a encode log would show us.
