When I try to open a videofile recorded with Lagarith Lossless Video Codec, Handbrake returns an error as pictured below. Tell us about your environment. What version of HandBrake? What version of Windows are you running. etc.
Handbrake 1.0.0 - 1.0.2 If there was any exception or error displayed, please copy it and paste it here:
Lagarith is problematic with both ffmpeg and libav.
Try UT, and urge the dev teams above to support MagicYUV in the future.
DNxHD is my favorite warhorse. Sony YUV is damn near perfect 10 bit 422.
uh, sorry, I don't have any samples because I stopped using it.
You want me to search the internet for you?
I have a better idea:
Type the term "Dxtory" into the box at the top right of this page and click "Search." You will get 80 hits, including some with issues similar to yours that are marked "Resolved" !!

Dxtory also has its own codec, so searching for it will likely give you more hits for that codec than Lagarith…
I have the same problem as starkiller564. I even have it when vid is captured with the matrox codec, same error appears that he cant open the file.
This error appears first since i installed the new version of Handbrake (1.0.2)!
I renderd before still with version 0.10.5 and had none such problems. I reinstalled the old version and it
works fine, so i not sure that this is a problem with the capture program or codec.....
