Hi people,
First of all I apologize pro my English, I'm from Argentina and I do not write perfect English.
I tell them that I installed last week its soft in my imac 2011 with Yosemite and from that moment something strange and bad has happened to my sound card. I mean, for every sound that my imac reproduced either in itunes, youtube, sound to empty the trash, alert sounds, to play any sound through speakers just a deafening sound is heard at a volume that is not modifiable . The sound resembles that could make a bike but it Throw in distortion. The truth is that it is hard to describe. I give another thing, if I use headphones everything works fine. For this deafening sound headphones omitted.
I hope you can help me get back my imac to normal.
Thank you.

Re: Handbrake and buil-in sound card problem
Handbrake should not affect your sound system in any way. It does not communicate directly with that hardware.
What else did you install recently?

So what has this to do with Handbrake?
I suggest a MAC forum may get you more answers.

I have not installed anything long.
It is very curious what happened, since the problem started just when I started to see a preview in Handbrake.
I installed and uninstalled Handbrake because it is a software that I like. But nothing.

No it has to do with Handbrake. Possibly not. But it's funny how the problem started when I began to see a Preview in Handbrake.
Handbrake I really like. I just wanna know if it might have to do with my problem because I have not installed anything on my mac long time.
Re: Handbrake and buil-in sound card problem
And since the preview in Handbrake calls another program of your choice to display it, that program is the likely candidate for causing your problem. Handbrake itself will not be talking to your sound card.
Does the problem go away when you reset your computer? Does it reappear if you start handbrake, but do NOT do a preview?
