Always use m4v option

Post by danhi »

I have this set, and am using the Apple TV 2 preset, but files still start out at mp4. I know I used to get this to work. Is there something else I need to set to get the files to be created as m4v's?

Have you explored the wonderful world of the Tools->Options menu? Under "Output files", there's an option for which extension to put on the end of MP4 files.

Even though the file format doesn't change, as you're finding out, Apple products stupidly rely upon the extension to determine if a file will be allowed to do certain things.
