Recommended (minimum) audio bitrate for Dolby Pro Logic II

For stereo 160kbps are fine for my movies. Which audio bitrate do you recommend (minimum) for Dolby Pro Logic II? Are 256kbps enough?

Anything over 192 Kbps is unnecessary imo.

Sure? I have the same opinion with _2_ channels, but if there are 5 channels it should be more, or not?

Dolby PLII carries 2 channels of audio with a matrix layer, which in itself uses practically no overhead.
Dolby Digital is a different story because it stores 6 channels of audio, thus higher bitrates, 384 being typical.
