Unable to select destinatiion folder
Hi all,
Just opened Handbrake for the first time and cannot select the destination folder! Hope someone can help.
Many thanks.

Re: Unable to select destinatiion folder
Seems like I misread the instructions, as I now find that the Source title is entered into the box once I have selected the DVD. However, after browsing and saving, I tried to open the file, but couldn't find it. I tried a search for the file, but got no result. Checking the folder where I had saved it, the folder was empty.
Anybody any ides?
Thanks.

Re: Unable to select destinatiion folder
My iDea is that you should post your encode log so we can see what Handbrake did.

Re: Unable to select destinatiion folder
Did you "start" the encode?
Re: Unable to select destinatiion folder
Hi. I could not start the encode, as there is no destination. I've tried to browse and select, but it does not show up in the Destination box.
Re: Unable to select destinatiion folder
So let me get this right.... You were searching for your destination file even though you didn't even start the encode?
Re: Unable to select destinatiion folder
You have to actually start an encode before a file is created. The destination is where you are going to put the file. There won't be one there already.
Re: Unable to select destinatiion folder
Here are my actions: Press Source > Start > Error message: The destination Field was empty.
On opening the browser to the Destination folder, I get 'Save As' box and not an Open box as I would expect and am unable to open it. I've tried before and after. As it is, the Chapters section, there is only 1 chapter, which only rund for 20 seconds.
Hope that's a bit clearer to you

Re: Unable to select destinatiion folder
Of course you get a Save As Box. Give it a filename where you want the file to be output, Press start and it'll encode to that location. On opening the browser to the Destination folder, I get 'Save As' box and not an Open box as I would expect and am unable to open it. I've tried before and after. As it is, the Chapters section, there is only 1 chapter, which only rund for 20 seconds.
