Re: Unable to select destinatiion folder

Seems like I misread the instructions, as I now find that the Source title is entered into the box once I have selected the DVD. However, after browsing and saving, I tried to open the file, but couldn't find it. I tried a search for the file, but got no result. Checking the folder where I had saved it, the folder was empty.

Anybody any ides?

Thanks.

My iDea is that you should post your encode log so we can see what Handbrake did.

Did you "start" the encode?

Hi. I could not start the encode, as there is no destination. I've tried to browse and select, but it does not show up in the Destination box.

So let me get this right.... You were searching for your destination file even though you didn't even start the encode?

You have to actually start an encode before a file is created. The destination is where you are going to put the file. There won't be one there already.

Here are my actions: Press Source > Start > Error message: The destination Field was empty.

On opening the browser to the Destination folder, I get 'Save As' box and not an Open box as I would expect and am unable to open it. I've tried before and after. As it is, the Chapters section, there is only 1 chapter, which only rund for 20 seconds.

Hope that's a bit clearer to you

Of course you get a Save As Box. Give it a filename where you want the file to be output, Press start and it'll encode to that location.
