Re: Next stable version release?
We are working through a list of stuff at the moment and once that's done we'll start doing beta releases.

cool, I cannot wait...
Re: Next stable version release?
...which is why we have nightly builds.
Seriously, I've been building from source or running nightly builds for years now with very few issues. Except for occasions where brand new code is being bedded in, I've found them to be as reliable as the "stable" releases.

And how do I know when was a brand new code being bedded in? But seriously if nighty versions are so stable, why is not coming more often stable new versions? I noticed the nighty versions using better my CPU and about 10-15% faster than 0.99.
Re: Next stable version release?
Because the release process is a pain (particularly there being so few day-to-day developers), and because not all versions (Windows, Mac, Linux) have the same basic feature set at any given time. They have to be reasonably close and/or in sync for a release to happen.

By reading the trac timeline.AAT wrote:And how do I know when was a brand new code being bedded in?
Lack of consistency between platforms, less testing than a release.AAT wrote:But seriously if nighty versions are so stable, why is not coming more often stable new versions?

Re: Next stable version release?
I saw that the dev's are looking for Mac developers to achieve feature parity, doe anyone know if they found some to help with the 1.0 release?
