After upgrading to the latest build (5974, Ubuntu 13.10 using PPA) Handbrake GUI only gives me a message box (and won't start):
"Unable to create ghb.
Internal error. Could not parse UI description.
Unknown internal child: plus_button"
Build 5974, Linux: Could not parse UI description.

Same thing with me. Using Xubuntu v. 13.10.mod16 wrote:After upgrading to the latest build (5974, Ubuntu 13.10 using PPA) Handbrake GUI only gives me a message box (and won't start):

Re: Build 5974, Linux: Could not parse UI description.
This may fix the problem https://trac.handbrake.fr/changeset/5977
I also updated the build instructions in doc/Build-Linux to use gtk-3 rather than gtk-2 on ubuntu.
I should have known better than to use glade to edit the UI. I stopped using it years ago because it was such a POS. Thought I would give it another chance. Bad idea.
