Hi, I have just recently started doing some blu ray's that are ended editions, such as the LOTR Trilogy.
I have come across various ways of merging the files, but I have had some weird circumstances from both ways, and was wanting clarification on the best possible way to what I want to achieve.
My 1st question is, is it better to trim and merge the blu ray, before it has been encoded, or after it has been encoded (IE. run though handbrake), and if so, what software do you use?
My 2nd question is, I have found that MakeMKV extracts the audio at 24bit, and when I use Any DVD HD and use Handbrake to encode, it comes out being 16bit. I thought both methods extract from the disc untouched?
