Re: iMac Benchmarks
Impressive, your resolution is 4 times smaller than mine, and I used de-interlacing,
However My new Mac Pro will becoming this Tuesday, so my Mom will be getting my iMac,
so you will be competing with my 76 yr old Mom, don't beat her up too badly

Re: iMac Benchmarks
Okay, I did another rip with settings identical to yours (though not input material I'm sure).
Average FPS 97
At this point I should probably 'fess up and admit that I compiled a recent nightly build of Handbrake on my iMac... 64 bit flavour, of course.
I don't bother with x264, as HD space these days is so cheap. I just throw FFmpeg a little more rope and it gets the job done just as well and in a fraction of the time!
